What can I say about Emma and Peter’s wedding other than it was magnificent and a pleasure to be their wedding photographer.
Byron Bay hold a special place in their hearts as they were engaged here. Peter popped the question during a private moment on the lookout at The Pass. With family and friends scattered about Australia it made sense for them to bring the crew to Byron for their wedding. The ceremony was held at the Byron Bay Surf Club in brilliant sunshine.
As the afternoon faded into night, the clouds built up leading to a massive, cleansing rainstorm during their speeches. The food was delicious with a combination of Morrocan flavours featuring highly. Catering was by the team at EatDrink Catering.
Here’s a look at some of their beautiful Byron Bay beach wedding photography.
I’m about to abandon my family again for another photographic adventure. In the morning I am off to India for a couple of weeks to photograph the Holi colour festival among other things. Here’s how you can keep track of my adventures.

Sending out good vibes and wishes to everyone sweltering across Australia this week in the hot, hot summer. Here’s a greeting and some ‘coolth’ from a photo shoot I did in London a few weeks back.
Ladies and gentlemen, did you get engaged at Christmas or New Years? Congratulations. Particularly to anyone who managed to get a free fireworks show as part of the engagement. Time to start planning for the wedding and I know a great, friendly wedding photographer who is ready to create beautiful images of your wedding. Me.
Drop me a message from my contacts page or head over to Facebook (like me) and send a message from there.
Just uploaded a bunch of images to rotate on my front page and thought I’d share them here too.
They are a selection of wedding and commercial stock photography images I took recently in London and Paris. Now back in Lismore I am ready to do your photography in Northern NSW, and am also happy to travel to any destination you require.
Stu and Jinene had a fabulous ceremony for their beach side wedding at Yamba – and just as the documents were being signed, the heavens opened. It poured, we all were soaked to the bone – and we laughed. And laughed.
Despite the weather change everyone had a great time with wedding photography in the rain. Some guests turned up to the black tie formal reception in casual clothes, others dried off with the aid of towels and hair dryers – others just came wet. Great fun and a wedding that Yamba will talk about for a long time to come.
I had the greatest pleasure on the weekend photographing Aimee and Simon’s wedding at Bangalow in the Byron Bay hinterland, and then on to their reception in Ballina. Aimee looked stunning in her wedding dress with lace accents and cap sleeves but it was their gorgeous daughter that stole the show in the church.
Want a great way to make your groom look that bit extra special on your wedding day? Then try this. Have him tie his tie with an Eldredge Knot. Or if you are having a Christian wedding ceremony you could go with the Trinity Knot.
Yes, they are tricky but well worth the effort to do something a with a little extra style. If your groom doesn’t normally ever wear a tie, just get him to learn this knot and forget about the rest.
Here it is:
And make sure to tell your wedding photographer not to miss grabbing some photos of the tie.
Another wedding photography album is about to arrive in the studio. This one for Kate and Craig. Perfect example of how it doesn’t matter if it rains on your wedding day. Just have fun with it.
I’m expecting a bunch of wedding photography albums to be delivered to the studio in the next week or so. Including one from Nicolette and Brett’s beach wedding. Always exciting to get new albums in for wonderful clients.
