Byron Bay to Casino, the Wonderful Diversity of Northern Rivers Weddings

I’ve booked two weddings this week, and they couldn’t be more different to each other. Part of the appeal of the Northern Rivers area of NSW is the diversity. The landscape changes from sweeping beaches, to mountains, rivers, waterfalls and farming plains. And the people are diverse too. A simple supermarket queue I was in yesterday held a dreadlocked hippy, a sugarcane farmer, a conservative lawyer type, a new Mum and a cowboy.

The weddings I have just booked to be wedding photographer for are a great example of this diversity. One will be a beach ceremony at Byron Bay followed by a reception at the Byron Bay Beach Cafe. The other wedding is a traditional church ceremony in Casino followed by a reception at rustic farm inspired Clydesdale Hotel.

The best part of all is that I have the privilege of being the wedding photographer at these weddings. I know they are going to be great fun. The Casino wedding in particular has a few potential big surprise features that are going to be part of the wedding. And when I say big, I mean BIG.
