Photographing weddings in blazing sunshine on the beach in Byron Bay is a bit different from the bitterly cold changeable weather I encountered in Melbourne last week. I would have loved some more time to explore the possibilities of the soft diffused winter light. The weddings I am the photographer for are typically a contrast of North Coast NSW soft sand, sea and flowing gowns lit by harsh sunlight. So I found it interesting to see the soft Melbourne light and how it interacted with hard, angular architecture.
