AIM: Photograph 100 photoshoots for stock photography purposes paying $100 per shoot
WHY: Times are tough and this is a way for businesses and people to get professional photography not just cheap, but to actually get paid for it. For me, it is a way to increase my stock photography portfolio with Getty Images / iStock
WHO: Anyone in the Northern Rivers area of NSW – real, authentic local people of all looks, shapes, sizes, backgrounds and abilities – families, individuals, retirees, kids, workmates, friends, everyone
DOING: Whatever they normally do – work, play, sport, home, leisure, hobbies, etc
TIME: As long as it takes
$$$: $100 total per shoot, and a copy of some of the photos for your own purposes
CATCH: Images will be used by me in my stock photography portfolio. All people appearing in an image will need to have completed a model release form before the shoot, and all locations will need to be property released
WHAT ARE THE IMAGES FOR: Images will be used as stock photography to be distributed through my portfolios with Getty Images / iStock.
CAN THE MODEL / BUSINESS HAVE IMAGES: Yes, I will send you a selection of images from the shoot for your own purposes. You can print them or post on social media, businesses can use the images for commercial purposes / advertising, but you can’t sell the images
THEMES: This is about capturing authentic imagery of everyday people doing everyday things; going to work or school / uni, partying, hanging out with friends, family holidays, small business, manufacturing, transport, exercise & fitness, yoga, surfing, fishing, messing about on boats, retirement, cooking, gardening, renovations, new home, hobbies – anything
WHAT’S EXCLUDED?: There are a number of things I can’t shoot. Mostly it has to do with permissions and copyright. Clothing will need to either have no logos or distinctive prints, or just small ones readily removed in Photoshop. Modern vehicles are a problem as are classic designs. An old Holden, that’s OK but an old Porsche, unfortunately that’s out. I’m also not going to shoot anything illegal, pornographic or boudoir style
