Here are a couple of images from a wedding I shot in Sydney late last year. Reception was at the Sydney Rowing Club. It’s been renovated and expanded and is now huge compared to the small venue it was when I last went to a wedding there.
The guys with the 1957 Chevy bridal cars insisted I was shooting them the wrong way around. Convention says that cars must point towards the sun when being photographed but I wanted something special. I wanted to emphasise the white cars, white dress of the bride and black suit of the groom in a high contrast image – so I reversed the convention, broke the rules and I really like the photo.
