I’m loving this. When Usain Bolt set his world record 100m sprint time last week he was joined by more than just his competition running around the track. The finely tuned athletes in their lycra were chased down by a pack of camera wielding photographers.
Who cares if they took a little shortcut across the bend in the track – it’s pretty impressive to shoot the start of the fastest race in the world and then catch up with the winner as he passes the finish line. Here’s the report on Reuters photographer Kai Pfaffenbach’s sub 10 second run with camera in hand.
