A couple of weeks ago I was honoured to be the wedding photographer for a wonderful couple and their family. The wedding took place in Ballina and when I arrived the bride was getting ready with her lovely young daughter, Chelsea. Chelsea disappeared and came back with a card she had made (Mum and Dad still don’t know when she did it or where she got the cardboard from).
The card reads:
“To Ftrogr. Thenke you fore comeing today to take awor potos. Thenke you.”
I was truly touched by the thought. Such a beautiful thing for someone so young to do completely on her own without help or encouragement. In my studio I have a special book that contains all the awards I have won. Chelsea’s card is now in the book alongside my awards.
Even better, I have found out that she is in the same 1st grade class as one of my nieces and has subsequently become friends with my kindergarten aged daughter. I look forward to my family growing up alongside my new friends, the Devine family.
