A forum I regularly post on recently had a thread asking what you like best about your country. Obviously the Australian landscape is stunning and the animals extraordinary but the Australian people too are unique.
This is what I wrote about Australians:
“Although Australia is a country populated by people from all around the world there are a few traits that can be identified as Australian: a willingness to have a go, to work hard, to help others, to speak out against injustice, to not accept laziness, and a unique resourcefulness that sees Australians say “No worries, she’ll be right”, grab whatever is available and make it so – without fuss or expectation.”
