That’s right, the title says it all. I’m now offering free family portrait sessions for people in Lismore, Byron Bay, Ballina and surrounding areas. My family portrait sessions are normally valued at $350 so that’s a great saving. And I’ll give you images on a disc, something I never do with normal portrait sessions.
Is there a catch? Absolutely. Actually there are two catches.
The first thing is that my portrait photography style is different to most people. Just like my wedding photography I like to capture people as they are in a natural and relaxed way. I’ll just hang around with you for a while at your house a park or wherever – anywhere but in front of a backdrop in the studio – and photograph you together, doing the things you love to do. It’s called Lifestyle Portraiture.
You’re probably wondering how I’m going to make any money out of taking your family photos for free and giving you disc so you can print your own photos. That’s where the second catch comes in. You’ll need to sign model releases for the entire family so I can use the images as stock photos. They’ll then be offered to people for use in various forms of advertising through iStockPhoto and Getty Images.
