I earnt my keep on the weekend. Two weddings, one Friday and one Saturday. As per my previous posts, most weddings of late that I have photographed have been Byron Bay beach weddings and they have tended to be in blazing sunshine. Not this week.
Friday saw me on a picturesque property outside of Clunes on the Far North Coast. Stunning location. The ceremony was under a huge fig tree, adorned with silk lanterns. The guests sat on old wooden church pews. After the ceremony they had cocktails under the tree with a Peruvian band playing before a reception in a marquee.
However the previous week was one of torrential and unrelenting rain. The rain stopped long enough for the cermony to go ahead as planned but the ground was soft boggy mud. The rain returned after the ceremony and I had a great time photographing the bridal party in stunning filtered light.
I got bogged when I went to leave though. Had to do a wild Hollywood turn in reverse to get out of the paddock. Perfect end to a very different wedding that was great fun.
Images to come from Saturday’s wedding. Again, gorgeous bride, beautiful location but even worse weather.
