As a wedding photographer one thing makes me nervous. That thing is awards season. Tomorrow is the kick off for the Australian Professional Photography Awards.
It’s complicated but theoretically with the prints I have entered I could achieve Master Photographer status. However, given the way it is all worked out, that would also mean I’d probably also be named at least Wedding Photographer of the Year if not Australian Photographer of the Year. I’m in with a shot and it’s a better bet than the lotto, so I’m nervous, edgy and rambling.
The judging takes place over a few days so I’m not going to know anything until next week. I’ll keep you posted. Good luck to all the other photographers entered. More power to you all.
