Byron Bay Wedding Photography Engagement Shoot at Dawn

Saturday morning was gorgeous but oh so bitterly, bitterly cold. So when I headed off to do a dawn engagement photoshoot with Julia and Phil dressed in shirt, jumper, jacket, scarf and beanie the thought crossed my mind that all those clothes were overkill. When I hopped out of the car in the 3 degree dark and Julia was also wearing a beanie, I knew I had made the right decision. It was mind numbingly cold on top of the hill over looking Byron Bay.

The sun popped up into a crystal clear cloudless sky and we got some great shots. Here’s a sneak peek.

Before the Wedding, a Lismore Engagement Shoot

Last weekend I had the pleasure of doing an Engagement Shoot for Rechell and Scott in Lismore. We kicked off with an early (and chilly) start and thankfully we did. Just after we finished the photography and jumped back in the cars, the heavens opened and it poured with rain.

These guys are relaxed and fun. Lots of fun. And they are going to have a great wedding.

Here’s a quick photo.

Mantra at Salt wedding photography

Mantra on Salt Wedding Photography Album, Kingscliff

All weddings are different. Some weddings are beautifully styled. Some are in gorgeous locations. Some are budget weddings others have no expense spared. Some weddings are delightfully romantic. Some are quirky. Some weddings have themes. They best weddings all have one thing in common.

The best weddings are all about the bride and groom doing just what they want on their wedding day.

When it came to Rochelle and Ben’s wedding at Mantra on Salt in Kingscliff, I knew it was going to be one of the best weddings from the moment I met them. Here is a couple who are know what they want and are going places. They also know how to have a good time. I knew it was going to be a fun wedding. And it was. Lots of grins and lots of laughs. It was great.

Their wedding album is done and looks great too. Here’s a slideshow of their album layouts. Hope you like looking at the photos as much as I enjoyed being their wedding photographer.

Northern NSW Wedding Photography from Kingscliff to Yamba, Ballina, Byron Bay and Lismore

I’ve just put together a handful of images for a reception venue in Northern NSW. Thought I may as well show them here as well. The photos are from weddings I have photographed recently in Lismore, Byron Bay, Kingscliff, Ballina and Yamba.

And on to the wedding photography:

Wedding Photography Album From the Byron at Byron

In the lead up to Alexandra and Dave’s wedding at the Byron at Byron it rained. And it rained. And it rained. Then the skies cleared and their wedding was held in fabulous Byron Bay sunshine. Everything was gorgeous and it was an absolute delight to be their wedding photographer.

Want to see their wedding photos? Here’s a slideshow showing their album layouts. Gorgeous. Just gorgeous.

Byron Bay Wedding Photography Album

Earlier this year Sam and Andy had their wedding at Byron Bay and it was an absolute delight to be their wedding photographer. Their wedding made the most of beautiful Byron Bay and the surrounding hinterland.

Sam and Andy both got ready for the wedding at opposite ends of The Summerhouse and the ceremony was held on a grassy bluff on a private farm overlooking Byron Bay. We then headed into town for wedding photography at the Byron Bay lighthouse and on the beach at Wategoes. After that it was back to the Summerhouse for the reception.

I’ve just sent Sam and Andy their completed wedding album. Here’s a video slideshow showing what it looks like.

Beautiful Kingscliff Beach Wedding Photography, Mantra on Salt

I had the absolute pleasure of being Rochelle and Ben’s wedding photographer for their wedding at the Kingscliff beachside resort of Mantra on Salt.

This wedding had it all, beautiful bride, handsome groom, wild guests, hot cars, superb weather, stunning location and a bit of drama. I’ll tell you about the drama because I’ll remember it forever.

Tied to Rochelle’s bouquet were three family heirloom wedding and engagement rings from Grandmothers and Great-Grandmothers. Just after a bridesmaid commented that we should take them off and put the rings somewhere safe, the rings came loose and Rochelle noticed them missing. Two were found quickly, one was gone. The search was on.

Everyone nearby, including a few resort guests, were pressed into service to find the missing wedding ring. Just when we thought it was gone, one of the groomsmen came to the rescue and found the ring.

And on with taking more photos.

Lennox Head and Ballina Wedding Photography With The Supermoon

Everything came together perfectly for Kate and Brett’s wedding on Saturday. The weather was fabulous, bride gorgeous, groom handsome – and the supermoon arrived right on time for this great wedding photo down at Lennox Head. Even all the locals going for a late afternoon walk along the beachfront all stopped to give me a clear photograph. Thanks everyone.

This is just a quick sneak peek. I’ll post some more of the photos from their wedding overlooking the beach at Ballina shortly. If you can’t wait that long, there are a couple of extra wedding images already up on Facebook here.

Thank You For Your Amazing Wedding Photos!! Yamba Wedding Photography

Remember Bianca and Michael’s wedding I was the photographer for in Yamba? (Here’s a link to an old post). Great fun Yamba beach wedding photography. Well, I just got a fabulous card from them.

The card reads, “Thank you for our amazing wedding photos! We are absolutely stoked with them and we’ll treasure them forever.”.

It’s great to get these little notes in the mail from such fantastic people who chose me to be such a big part of their special day.

And here’s a special treat. Another one of their wedding photos.

It was a great fun wedding in beautiful Northern NSW sunshine. I always knew I was going to have a great time as their wedding photographer. I also knew the party was set to be huge when I saw these two guests rocking fully wild hair. Love it.
